Review & Giveaway: “Story Time for Me”
STORY TIME FOR MEis a unique literary website designed specifically for toddlers and children in early elementary school, allowing them to read and listen to enjoyable, online interactive picture books. They also offer a one-of-a-kind animated personalized book.
I love children’s books – but not all books are created equal. I enjoy reading our toddler stories which speak of morals and that are educational. And, thankfully, my son loves being read to – especially when my husband and I really embody the characters and read the words enthusiastically to him. We certainly have a large selection of books at home, I am after all an Early Childhood Educator and for the past 15 years have added to my children’s book collections. So needless to say, books excite me. Especially really fun, educational ones! :)
So upon browsing their website, I immediately noticed that they have a selection of stories for 1-4 year olds and another selection for 4-8 year olds. That makes perfect sense to me; and clearly I was going straight to the 1-4 year old books first! With my son on my lap, we signed into the website and added two stories to my library (Fern has a Birthday & Fern’s Colors) to watch.
Immediately my son was stricken with the music and story. His little eyes lit up and were glued to the screen (remember, this is educational so it’s okay!) and he started pointing and naming the objects he recognized in the story (he’s almost 2 years old so his vocabulary is still quite limited).
