Win a Mother-Ease Wizard Uno #ClothDiaper @0rganicmama from @cushytushybum! 07/31/11

I am very grateful to have recently received the NEW Mother-Ease Wizard Uno Cloth Diaper to review from Megan, the wonderful owner of Cushy Tushy Bum Apparel & More!

Megan is a super friendly, hard-working WAHM who runs a very successful online store based in Parksville, British Columbia, Canada. Cushy Tushy is a Canadian business and her cheerful personality radiates through her website and Facebook Page alike!

Cushy Tushy Bum Apparel & More carries a great selection of various cloth diapers and accessories – everything you need to start and add to a very fluffy stash!

Megan and I both love and admire Canadian companies, so I was thrilled when she offered to send me a Mother-Ease Wizard Uno Cloth Diaper to review – which is not only made from a Canadian company, but also made IN Canada too – for twenty years! In fact, they were the first company to make a One Size diaper – I know, incredible, right?!

I have been a great fan of Mother-Ease products ever since 2008 when I first began my cloth diapering journey. The Wizard Uno has once again impressed me and has me, once again falling back in love with my cloth diaper stash.

The Mother-Ease Wizard Uno is an all in one (AIO) cloth diaper which means it encompasses the closest design to a disposable! With no stuffing, or assembling in any way, it is very husband, older sibling, grandparent, babysitter, newbie and daycare-friendly! :)

The sizing of the Wizard Uno All in One is as follows:

extra Small: 7-12 lbs
Small: 12-20 lbs
Medium: 20-28 lbs
Large: 28-37 lbs

My 7 month is quite slender and weighs a little less than 20 lbs, so I went ahead and selected a size Medium in the Savanna2 print. In hindsight, I should have sized down and gotten a size Small. But that’s the price you pay when you want your sized diapers to last a little longer ;) It technically ”fits” him very well (no gaps, no leaks), but as you can see, it is a little baggy/saggy in the bottom.  Even so, I’m not complaining.

While the cover and soaker are conveniently combined, it still has a very trim fit without compromising absorbency. What I really love about this particular AIO is that the stay dry soaker is sewn to the cover only at the front and back. That provides amazing water and air circulation during washing and drying, therefore cutting back on dry times while ensuring every little bit of your diaper is fully cleaned and ready to go! The stay-dry soaker is absolutely amazing, it feels completely dry to the touch even seconds after pulling it from the washing machine! I love that I can trust my baby’s bottom is nice and dry whenever he’s wearing his Wizard Uno!

This diaper is perfectly suitable for adding boosters for nighttime (or any other time of day) when you need a little more absorbency. I just tucked one of my Sandy’s Absorbent Liners between the soaker and the cover and voila – it did the trick at nighttime. We had absolutely no leaks, but seeing as it’s a Mother-Ease dipe, I’m not surprised! The diaper even has double-elasticized leg openings which help combat leaks – even newborn, exclusively breastfed explosions!

These are sized diapers, so there’s no uncomfortable and unsightly added bulk in the front like one-size pocket diapers often have. Less bulk means I don’t need to up-size his pants and shorts, which means I’m extending the life of his clothing, too!

Speaking of extending the life of our purchases, I have to say that having snaps opposed to hook and loop closures is a huge life saver. I mean, who wants to deal with nasty diaper chains, pilling or snagging in the washing machine anyways? I want my fluffy stash to last a very long time, thankyouverymuch. The diaper has two rows of snaps, which means a better fit – and it looks cuter, too!

The quality of production is second to none. It is sewn perfectly well, holds up well in the wash and looks absolutely fantastic!

My one complaint is that with just 2 prints and 4 solids (pictured above), the selection is poor. I have high hopes that M-E will come out with more prints in the very near future. But with that said, the prints and colours they currently have are cute ~ I just prefer having a more diverse diaper stash! ;)

I highly recommend purchasing the NEW Mother-Ease Wizard Uno cloth diapers (and any other M-E product) from Cushy Tushy Bum Apparel and More…and while you’re there make sure to check out all her other great deals, especially the “gently used” section ~ you’re sure to find a really great steal there!

  • I’ve been surfing on-line more than 3 hours lately, yet I never discovered any interesting article like yours. It?s beautiful worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content material as you probably did, the web will probably be much more helpful than ever before.
