The ‘L’ Word

We all know by now (hopefully) that the negative effects of bullying can last a lifetime, but did you ever think that today’s blockbuster and chart-topping artists still have their insecurities haunting them?
According to Lady Gaga, who was bullied during her formative teenage years, admits she “wakes up and feels like a loser”. Just earlier this month Lady Gaga was accredited as being the most influential celebrity in the world and yet she still feels like the trapped teenager she once was.
She said: “Being bullied stays with you your whole life, and no matter how many people are screaming your name or how many number one hits you have, you can still wake up and feel like a loser.”
Gaga, herself is making headway with all the bullied people across the world through her music and choice wardrobe attire. One can undoubtedly say she has “made it big” and yet she is still fighting with the demons placed inside her head, and heart on a daily basis.
Not having been bullied myself, I am unable to say how it would feel, but I can only imagine that if somebody like Gaga, who can put up her two middle fingers at anyone from her past is still in turmoil, how exactly does an everyday, ordinary person get through it?
