Another day of fighting off meltdowns. Thank you Mr. Fuck-Nut.
14th July 2011 | 10 CommentsToday I was abruptly jolted from my sanctuary slumber at 6:28am by a wrong-number caller. Pissed isn’t the word to describe my feelings about this rude awakening.
So as I lay in bed listening to the fan clicking away in Nate’s bedroom through our baby monitor, I realized I had 2 choices. I could trying fall back asleep in hopes that Rylen would sleep in despite the loud ass ringing of our phones or I could suck it up and start my day. Of course I did what every Stay and Home mama did, I option to get some more shut eye.
But it was useless. The clicking of Nathan’s fan coupled with Rylen shouting “peee is coming!” and the sound of his running feet towards the hallway bathroom was enough to convince me that my beauty (ha!) sleep had indeed come to an end.
So from there I did what every mama dreads doing, I started our daily routine early by serving up breakfast to both boys an hour and a half early. This of course will throw everything off for the rest of our day. Lunch will be earlier than usual, followed by naps, followed by dinner and of course the dreaded bedtime routine will NEED to be postponed for fear that tomorrow’s work day will begin even earlier. Ahh the joys.
So I have this to say to you, Mr. M. Davies: Fuck you for not looking at the numbers on your key pad as you dialed my house at 6:28am.
Fuck you and your phone, sir.
