If you suspect your baby is teething, why not try to alleviate his or her discomfort using natural remedies before reaching for medications like acetaminophen and medicated teething gels. You might be surprised just how well they really work!

I was folding our fluff (cloth diapers) last night while watching TV with the hubby when suddenly something dawned on me. Natural/attachment parenting is for the lazy. Yes, you read that correctly. I, too am a total laze-ball parent and let me tell you why. Baby wearing = hands free holding that easily drifts baby to sleep on my chest. It also allows me to effortlessly enjoy my favourite activities like sipping on my Starbucks cappuccino (or vodka; same difference), while tweeting on my phone and watching TV ALL AT ONCE. Breastfeeding = The easiest (when established) meal times you will EVER enjoy with your children. No picky eaters, here! It also means no dirty bottles to wash and sanitize. EVER…which frees up more time for the above activities. Co-sleeping = Effortlessly calming baby during the night. No need for baby monitors. No need to fully-wake up. No need to get out of bed unless it’s for a diaper change. This is equivalent to MORE SLEEP…which in turn energizes me for the above specified activities. Cloth diapering = No more late night/early morning dashes to the store for disposables. And a little side effect of cloth diapering is a reduction (if not completely free) of diaper rash. Which means I don’t require late night/early trips to the store to buy diaper rash creams. Which means I have more time to enjoy the above activities. So, even if you don’t give a crap about your baby’s health, or our environment, I invite you to try a few of the above-mentioned activities, because let’s face it: you’ll save money and have more freed up time to do things you want. And that, my friends, is why natural/attachment parents are lazy. And guess what? You should be damn proud of it, I am!!

It might be time to stop co-sleeping with our littlest guy. Last night was our 4th wedding anniversary so we thought what better time to see if our 6 month old is ready to sleep in his own room, in his own crib…down the hall. I know, scary thought, right? ;) Well let me give [...]
